Wild & Free for One More Day

Today was our last day to soak up the sunshine and be wild and free. We awoke in our fun, quirky, quintessential art deco South Beach hotel, the Sagamore, and headed straight to Paul's for breakfast with the Diamonds. If you don't know Paul's, it is a French favorite of ours (and there happens to be a rare North American location in South Beach). I enjoyed my decadent pain au chocolat with eggs and a cappuccino.

After a little shopping on Lincoln Rd, we strolled back to our hotel. We spent some time at the pool, including a poolside lunch with sangrias, then headed to the beach where we spent our last hour with the Diamonds hamming it up and practicing headstands.

At around 4pm we were hugging and kissing Mark, Patti, Ava and Griffin goodbye (they left for their drive up to Orlando). Then the four of us began our last night together on our 10+ week adventure before we head home tomorrow.

We had a yummy dinner at a gourmet vegan restaurant right around the corner. Then we headed to the beach to say goodbye to the ocean. We sat together, each said a few things we will miss, and what we're looking forward to when we return home (hugs from Granny was high on everyone's list).

Another beautiful, memorable day in the books.
